Darrell Q. Slade

Ibn Darrel, mostly known by his author name ,Darrell Q. Slade was born on January 26th, 1995 in Wachovia, a land mass in North Carolina known as the Tre-4 to Gordon and Darrel Jones Slade. Ibn changed the game in literature when he released his book The Alarm Clock to the world in December of 2017. He is a true artist of words, in his novels he bleeds his passion, purpose, and pain into the pages.

Ibn Darrel studied business and finance in the House of Rams originally named Slater Industrial by Simeon G. Atkins in 1892. While Ibn was at the College of the Cardinals at the House of Rams, he was shrined in the 53rd House est 1951 nunc pro tunc 1935, of Alpha Unitas Fraterum, est 1906, in the fall of 2014 Anno Domini and serving as secretary and Chancellor or President of the Chapter.

Also During his collegiate career, Ibn Darrel was the Fund Manager of Ram Asset Management Fund, one of the few Student Investment Funds at a HBCU, that invests over $100,000, liquid assets, in the New York Stock Exchange. In the four years that Darrell was apart of the investment fund, it returned forty percent since it’s initial investment. This created a field of opportunities for him in the corporate world. In this book the Alarm Clock, Darrell talks about how he had his own hustle while he was in undergrad.

After college, Darrell went the non-traditional route, and released his first novel, The Alarm Clock, then started a publishing enterprise called No More Suits to give authors a firm platform to release their novels to the world. Soon after No More Suits, Darrell followed up with his first book, with a second piece of literature, entitled Book of Rhymes. This was shocking because, with a strong background in business finance, no one expected him to drop a 200 page book of poetry. But his unique writing style in Book of Rhymes pieces his mindset together in a very complex yet creative way.

In 2020, Slade wanted to redefine what an author was. Typically most authors arent serial investors, therefore he launched GUD Co. a distribution platform that provides education on how to get started in trucking as a business owner. GUD Co. also has a network of drivers, brokers, and certified dispatchers. His latest book علم التوزيع complements why he made this move well. Slade currently has five total published projects and counting.

“If it wasn’t for college I would just be a hustler, straight up, its in my blood. However college taught me how to hustle strategic, it didn’t teach me to start my own, it pushed me in that direction. I took lemons and create my own distribution route. “ -Q.

THE ALARM CLOCK
$20.00

In The Alarm Clock, Darrell Q. Slade breaks down why it’s essential to maneuver in silence as you level up while remaining true to yourself.

“Better to have more progress with less movement opposed to more movement with less progress.” An African American Proverb

This novel is broken down into twelve distinct chapters, symbolic of twelve hours on the clock. Slade was strategic when putting this book together; in this novel you’ll learn how he managed to elevate through his obstacles while meeting with adversity, simultaneously. The objective of this book is to spark hope in the kids that come from a similar upbringing as the author. We determine our own destiny, not anyone else!

The systems we rely on in America aren’t set up for us to succeed, especially when the oppressor defines our success. Therefore we must position ourselves to create our own wealth and divert those assets, back into our communities. This will implement an healthy and stable environment in our low income communities. As Emory Jones say “BET ON YOURSELF.” Everyone has an Alarm Clock that will wake the World.” #STAYWOKE

I initially picked up this book from my local library because the title jumped out at me and directly addressed the very thing that I had been ignoring in my life. When I began flipping through the pages, the scriptures interspersed within reinforced for me on a spiritual level that I was meant to read the book. It contains 12 very personal chapters about the author's journey through life after losing the closest people to him. It begins with loss and being lost, and ends with purpose, self-discovery, and finding God in the most unexpected people, places, and ways. It is written to an audience of lost ones, young ones, and those who are still sleeping and it is a calling for the author not only to awaken himself, but also to be a force to awaken the masses. His voice isn't what one would find for a more mainstream audience, but it speaks of universal truths. I would recommend this book to any youth or adult who has hit the snooze button in their personal life more times than they can count, and is finally ready to make changes to align themselves with God's calling and purpose for their lives.

BOOK OF RHYMES
$20.00

In Book of Rhymes, the author breaks down his perspective on the power of writing, he feels writing is historical because it can out live you and give light to other generations. This is a book where anyone who is taking a leap of faith can relate to. If not anything, this is a collection of scriptural art that takes you on spiritual journey.

”Poetry is everyday life, it’s like brail, the reader can feel what you write you know what I mean? I feel like it’s a reciprocated remedy for the spirit. Poetry allows me to get shit that’s stuck in my head, out and express and articulate whats on my thoughts. This was never for attention.” -Slade

The consistent message in this book of poems, parables, short stories, is the author challenging the reader to think outside the box, subconsciously. Slade opens up about our primary language the Mdw Ntchr and about how powerful Black civilizations were and how we have that same DNA, in our blood. as fore mentioned in his first novel, The Alarm Clock, it’s time for us wake up. During that time, the Kemetic people, came together to build these prolific monuments to show generation after generation, how powerful they were. By them building these monuments, such as the pyramids, they created an economy for their whole population, the whole civilization was wealthy; this is the power of unity, the black community needs to come together and learn from our ancestors. Book of Rhymes, is a monument that will live throughout generations for the people who can relate to the message.

Fun fact: Kemet means the black community (kem-unity).

This novel drops September 3rd, the ninth month of the year. This was a nine month project of pure dedication. This is a new vibe as Slade exposes his creative side. Follow, this is an unreleased poem by the author…

Elevated like a cosmo

They wonderin where i went

Where i go?

I go

Higher

Stayed down too long

But gravity can’t hold me down, No more

No more?

No more suits, llc

No more ties

System fed me lies

All this pain

I never cried

Sung to my rhymes

Like a caged bird

Lifted off

Indica

Stay in trees

So I built a nest

Habakuk 2 verse 3

Vision on tablets

built my legacy

Where i go?

Say hello

to the bad guy

I’m gone. Peace

“Its gon be like one of them bibles in the baptist church you pick up during the choir time. People really might sing some of the poems in there! But its written by a real one, you know what I mean, y’all know the writer. If you want to research who wrote this, I’m right here; it’s all for the love of humanity.”

The Backdrop
Don was like Moses. Moses never was captured, instead he prospered. His mother sent him down the river to protect him from danger. And Moses rose to the status of prince, this is when he began to witness the captivity of his people. Therefore Moses set his people free by using all of his resources.
Don was saved too—- by the river of wisdom, he was a target, as all the guys growing up in Shalom (Salem) were & have been for since the Romans discovered their lands.

We aren’t taught civics and economics yet it’s all around us. We rather be by-products, as oppose to reclaim yo own crown. Don’s mission was to elevate his people to higher heights and follow their own religion the only religion, intuition, because all comes from within not without, insallah.

Maco Distro” The Science of Distribuiton | eilm al•taw [tall]/ zie [zee aye]

My Arabic brethren expressed to me that Elim means to learn/ the study of a subject, and my comprehension of Al means all that is within, ie Allah (all •law). Therefore The title علم التوزيع means the study of all transportation as a science because transportation is universal principle. The short story in The Opening complements the title well.

The Concept

If I was a music producer I would mix classical with the blues and master that with hard core hip hop, that’s the energy I brought to this masterpiece. I don’t think it’s ever be done in writing, mixing a realistic fiction novel with an educational text book, that’s like graffiti on a chalkboard. I call it genre mixing.
When I was in high school I always hated opening up text books, literature was considered boring to us. That’s because we wasn’t reading the right shit, my books wasn’t out yet! My literature is Hip Hop. I got bars of paragraphs, and a lot of them, that’s just how it go, that’s just how I flow. This that shit that talk to people soul. However knowing that I’m not gon talk about no bs, I’m feed the reader with real fundamental knowledge with every sentence, word.
This next generation has to become accustomed to reading habitually, so I customize my literature in creative ways to enhance your reading experience. I showcase this talent in my fourth novel, everything from the cover design, the embossment, and the text is all customized by me, this is just a snippet of what’s coming in the future. Creativity is the key to our salvation.
